Description
Annual. Native to Europe. Naturalized throughout North America. Grows easily and quickly from seed. Plants grow 2 to 3 feet high. Prolific bloomer in spring and summer. Colors in red, white, pink and bicolors.
Uses
Flower beds, borders, meadow gardens, and rock gardens.
Seeding Rates
One ounce covers up to 300 square feet. Broadcast seed mixed with fine sand in full sun. Sow seed in Fall/Winter for Spring/Summer bloom.
Care
Moderate water user. Take cut flowers when buds first show color. Remove old flowers to prolong bloom.
