Description
Cantalopes (also known as Muskmelons) are easy to grow and have four requirements for full development and flavor: lots of space, full sun, plenty of water and warm temperatures. With proper care this variety will develop into a beautiful, full flavored fruit.

- Days to Harvest: 85-90
Planting
Choose a warm and sunny location, preferably south facing. Add 1/2 cup of bone meal to each foot of row at planting time. Seeds may be started indoors and transplanted into the garden.
Care
Thin when plants touch each other. It is helpful to cover the area with black plastic mulch after thinning or cover with organic mulch.
Harvest
Harvest melons when a slight crack circles the stem at the point of attachment to the fruit and slips off with little help.
Hint
Use inverted clay pots to support developing fruit on the vine. It keeps the fruit dry and insect free.
