Large cylinders of densely packed, crisp leaves are characteristics of the Napa type of Chinese cabbage. The Michihli variety is the most popular Chinese cabbage grown. It is a cool season annual vegetable that grows best with short days and moderate to cool temperatures. It is popular in salads, stir fry and soups.
