Description
A select blend of premium tall fescue varieties. These varieties are among the ones used to grow the famous Medallion dwarf sod. The varieties used in this blend have been tested by the USDA, the University of California and in Pacific Sod research trials in Camarillo California. These grasses have proven to be among the best dwarf tall fescues for California and Nevada lawns.

Uses
Traffic areas where appearance and low maintenance are important. Lawns, Playgrounds, Parks, Cemeteries, Commercial developments, Golf Courses. “Medallion” is an excellent choice in hot inland valleys where it will maintain its deep green color year round.
Seeding Rates
New turf: 10-12 pounds per 1000 square feet (400-500 pounds per acre).
Overseeding: 8-10 pounds per 1000 square feet (300-400 pounds per acre).
Establishment
Germination: 10-14 days with proper irrigation. Slower in cooler weather and shade areas.
First mowing: Approximately 3-4 weeks.
First limited use: Approximately 6-8 weeks. Longer in cooler weather and shade areas.
Adaptability & Care

pH range: 5.5 to 6.5 preferred, 4.7 to 8.5 tolerated
Fertilization: 2 to 4 pounds of actual nitrogen per year in a balanced fertilizer
Mowing height: 2 to 3 inches in warm seasons, 1-1/2 to 2 inches in cool seasons.
