Description
This mixture contains fast establishing, reseeding annual legumes and wildflowers.
Rose Clover: Popular for erosion control on roadsides. Grows up to 16 inches high on poor soil. Excellent drought tolerance.
African Daisy: Popular for winter and spring color. Quick establishing. Reseeds.
Arroyo Lupine and California Poppy: Popular native wildflowers add winter and spring color as well as soil binding properties.
Shirley Poppy: Popular for winter color.
Uses
Recommended for burn areas near the home, on previously landscaped areas and as a cover crop for larger shrubs and trees.
Seeding Rates
Recommended seeding rate for this mixture is 10 pounds per acre or 4 ounces per 1,000 square feet.
Establishment
For natural areas without irrigation, seed during fall and winter in advance of rains. Can be established anytime of the year with irrigation.
Results are best if seed is covered with 1/2 inch of soil. Seeding rates should be increased if soil coverage is difficult or impossible.
