Description

Annual. Native to California. Leaves are divided like fingers into many leaflets. Flowers sweet pea-shaped, in dense spikes at end of stems. Spring bloom. Fragrant. Drought tolerant.

Uses

Fields, slopes, roadsides, country gardens. Excellent in wildflower mixtures or sow with California poppy for contrast.


Seeding Rates

Sow one ounce to 150 square feet in fall or winter. Slow to germinate.


Care

Requires little care. Infrequent waterings as necessary.
