A dark green bentgrass variety with uniform leaf texture and growth habit. Resistant to many turf diseases, Trueline will give excellent turf performance. When mixed with Cypress Poa trivalis, Trueline has time to become established while the Poa triv affords a nearly immediate, close cut putting surface. Intercrossing plants from established stands of bent and old bent turfs in many states across the country gives this variety a broad genetic backround and an adaptability to many site conditions. |

It is recommended that bentgrass be fertilized with 4 1/2 pounds of nitrogen per 1,000 square feet. An annual program would call for spring feeding of 1 1/2 pounds each in the spring, summer and early fall. Supplementary applications would be as color and growth dictate, but normally at a rate of no more than 1 pound per 1,000 square feet. |

To determine whether a cultivar's performance is truly different from another, subtract one entry's mean from another entry's mean. If this value is larger than the LSD value, the observed difference in cultivar performance is significant and did not happen by chance. |
