A significant development in seeded bermudagrass, Sahara is the first improved seeded propagated variety to be developed exclusively for turf. It exhibits significant improvements in density, texture and color over common bermudagrass. Sahara is the product of over 20 years of turfgrass research. It was developed at New Mexico State University by Dr. Arden Baltensperger. Sahara has been studied and evaluated in worldwide trials and research programs since 1986. It was first introduced for commercial use in 1989. |
